CLEARANCE OF MORE THAN 32,200 JERIBS OF LAND IN LAGHMAN

The Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL has cleared 32,215 jeribs (6,443 hectors) of state-owned land and public properties under institutions use in Mehtarlam, the provincial city of eastern Laghman province. Out of the total, 13,340 jeribs (2,668 hectares) of land is in Dasht Sultan Ghazi Baba village, 18,860 jeribs (3,772 hectares) in Dasht-e-Baba Sahib village of Qarghaye district and 15 jeribs (3 hectares) of private land in Chahar Bagh village of Qarghaye district of Laghman province. The land cleared to be distinguished between state-owned and private land and implementation of major developmental and socio-economic projects in the country. So far, the MUDL has cleared 1,250,000 jeribs of state – owned land and public properties under state the institutions use across the country. Clearance process is one of the important activities of the MUDL which aimed at distinguishing state and private land and so far more than 1 million jeribs of land has been cleared across the country.
