The Ministry of Urban Development and Land - MUDL has restituted 3,679 jeribs (735 hectares) of state-owned land in different parts of eastern Laghman province. Out of the total, 1,300 jeribs (260 hectors) of land is situated in Qaraghae district, 1,220 (244 hectors) jeribs in Mihtarlam, the provincial capital, 639 jeribs (127 hectors) in Alingar district and the remaining 519 jeribs (103 hectors) of land in Alishing district of the province. Meanwhile, the MUDL has submitted a list 942 land grabbers to judicial and justice departments and will restitute 616 jeribs of other grabbed lands by support of security forces in the province.
