This program is came into exist to collect authentic information and mapping of state-owned land and public properties under state institution use.
ARAZI surveys and registers land by using new technology, attraction of investment and fair use of state land and land being used by state, job opportunities, provide better livelihoods, prevention of state land and public properties grabbing, effective use of the state land in developments projects and fair distribution of land to repatriates and the effected people are the main purposes of the program.
The State Land Bank draft was approved by the president of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Muhammad Ashraf Ghani during a cabinet meeting held on 15th Aqrab of ongoing solar year.
The bank works under the Land Management Law – with the framework of articles 10th and 11th - for the purpose of electronic registration of state-owned land and public properties under state institution use to attract foreign investment, providing of transparent services, creating appropriate framework for implementing national land policy and master plans, raising national revenues, jobs finding and providing better livelihoods for Afghans in the country.
The State Land Bank is a widespread land information system that recognizes and maps using state-of-the-art technology. After collection of the information it puts into a database to be available online for public. The programme is managed by ARAZI in cooperation with stakeholders and municipalities in the center and other provinces of the country.
With the implementation of State Land Bank by the local organs department, while preventing the usurpation of state and public property. It also provides equitable distribution of state property to returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), nomads and effected people of the country.
